I ordered these shocks (Front and Rear) for my Traxxas Stampede VXL 4x4They are a very trick custom part that look great. But the stock shocks have a smoother rebound. These Integy shocks have no rebound at all. They snap back violently when the suspension is compressed and released. The reason for this I think, is the shocks are shipped dry. There is no oil in them, and the listing did not say so. The Installation is easy if you plan ahead, frustrating if you don't. The nearest hobby shop to me is 80 miles one way, so I will have to order this silicone oil Associated Silicone Shock Oil 40wt and wait until next week to review the performance.You will need to order this set of screws 3x15 screws (traxxas part number 2579) Screws,3 x 15mm,Buttonhead (6):SLY to complete the installation. The reason for this is the shoulder screws (Traxxas part3642x) that mount the top of your top shocks are not quite thick enough to mount the top of the Integy shock without binding. It would be a metal on metal joint, so you definitely would not want to use the oem shoulder bolts anyway.The shock kit comes with bushings for mounting the top of the shock, but no screws.I used the silver washer (traxxas part number 2746) from the original shoulder screw assembly on the back side as a spacer to help keep the shock body mount from rubbing.In short, for the top mount; thread the 3x15 screw into the bushing with the busing shoulder against the screw head. Put the screw through the top mount of the shock. Put the small washer on the screw, then thread the screw into the traxxas upper shock mount on the chassis. Tighten the screw just enough so the shock does not bind against the top mount. Binding will cause your suspension to misbehave.The bottom of the shock mounts in easily like the original using the 3x18 oem screw.
