The car handles really well, with a controller that is responsive. The turning control is a really effective method of steering, and the trigger for forward/reverse is a smart design. Plus, the car looks good, nice quality. My son likes how there is no "glass" in the side windows so he can put his Star Wars figures inside. The scale is nice, too, not too big or small. Our back patio is brick, and the car handles the bumps really well. Sticks are a significant obstacle, but that's what you'd expect from a car of this type. Battery life is okay, about standard for a toy like this. The only problem we've had is that the antenna on the controller bent almost as soon as we got it. It hasn't broken off, but it still zaps some of the fun out of the toy. We have looked at local hobby stores for a replacement antenna, but they don't carry them in this size. Other than that, if you like rc cars, you'll probably like this one. But beware of the vendor! My son ordered the car, and didn't realize that the seller charged more for shipping than they did the toy! $14 to ship standard rate is really ridiculous, and is what I'd call shady, at best. I wouldn't be at all disappointed if Amazon took them off the vendor list.
