This is a great toy to learn with and to learn from. Hand/eye coordination develops quickly. And, for the most part, it represents no danger to child or pet except those breakable nicknacks you have in high places. Well engineered and constructed. State of the art motors and power system are amazing to be found in a toy yet alone in an inexpensive device such as this helicopter. So far, as far as I can see, the mosquito has only big flaw - the cost of replacement parts. One of the main blades broke (from a collision with a brick wall at high speed). The part was readily found on Amazon. The blade cost me about $9.00 and the shipping was another $8-10.00 even though shipping was originally free for the entire helicopter. Overall? This is one of the better investments I have made in toys in a long time. It may look a little frail, but my 13 year old son has put it through its' paces and it has survived beyond my expectations.
