I have had nothing but unbelievable success with this engine. I have about 8 LRP engines. 3 stock and 5 with ported and polished piston sleeves. I had to get a better roll-cage from vgracing. They have about 1/4 of grass field in front of one of the local high schools around here. If your not careful and gun the engine to quickly on 1/8 MGT they will flip completely over. its funny to watch and hear divers passing by point to the RC and gunning it trying to catch up to the RC speed limit posted is 45mph so I know its somewhere around there. Team Associated has a great,dependable service dept and tech dept so they can help you if you run into anything you need help with. My engines run anywhere from about 230 to 250. I try to keep them down around those figures. (engine is supposed to last longer with lower temp). If your beginner in RC and technically proficient this should be a no brainer drop in for any 1/8 scale monster truck. I prefer Team Associated MGT's to others out there. I own a Jato 3.3 and a Rustler VXL, 2 RC10 FTGT2. I am interested in one of the Savage trucks from HPI. I know they are a good company and so is Traxxas, but I just love the MGT you can beat the crap out of it and it just keeps running. I run nothing but 8.0 trannys in my MGT as I frequently broke the transmissions in the 4.6 MGT. I still break the transmissions and differentials but not as much with the 8.0's. Don't even hesitate with deciding on these engines. You won't be disappointed.Oh just one more thing I like the new 3speed transmission for HPI's Savage and I also like the EZ-start on the Jato. I'm working on a complete push button system from the actual Spectrum controller. Anyway best of luck on your RC. Its a great hobby.
