Bought this train set for our son for Christmas. He has several other train sets but he wanted a set with a diesel engine and this seemed reasonable for $80. Unfortunately it's a piece of garbage. The track pieces do not stay connected well enough to provide the necessary [electrical] contact and even at the slowest speed the train derails at every turn. We can't return it because "Santa" brought it so our son now plays with the train by pulling (dragging) it around the track. He loves the details on the engine and the cars...but otherwise this set is a waste of both time and money. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for an electric train. This set isn't worth $8 much less $80.
