Like most fellas I dug right into this, and put the directions in the burn pile. I soon regretted that, after a while I did sort out the menu system and give the directions a good once over. I charged a 2s Lipo and a few 6 cell NiMH packs.On charging my 6 cell nimh packs I heard a buzzing noise, then it turned off. Odd I thought, I only did 1 A .... then I found if I slammed the transformer down the charger lit up quickly. I took the AC adapter / transformer apart (cracks open at the seams with a flat head). Sure enough there was a bad solder joint in there for the transformer coil. I fixed that and all is well.I'll say this new solder with less / no lead in it might be better for mother earth, but it's seriously cramping my style.
