I have been flying Control Line Aircraft for 20 years.It took me about 3 hours to put this plane together. All parts fitted well and I have about 50 flights on it so far and am enjoying it very much. I purchased it with the Evolution .36 engine, but have since replaced it with a Super Tiger .34 C/L which has the exact mounting dimensions as the evolution.Some of the things to consider about this plane:The rudder has no offset as do some C/L models to keep them flying toward the outside of the circle. You may need to create some offset or compensate by having the lead-outs in the furthest back position.The model required about 1oz. of nose weight to improve it's flight characteristics.The wing lead-outs are very close together which may cause them to get 'hung-up' together if you are not careful. This happened to me once while flying and I was fortunate enough to get them free and avoid a crash. I have since cut and staggered the lead-outs about 2" which should avoid this issue.Be sure to perform a pull test on both the lines and the model. The lines I received and the wing lead-out wire ends were not crimped. And, the lines broke several strands under the pull test. I mentioned this to Horizon and they are replacing the lines.The fuel tank is a plastic 'clunker' and about 2.5 oz. capacity I had to replace that tank with a 4oz. tank to get enough air time to complete the pattern. The construction manual for the model suggests two suitable replacement tanks for the plane.Other than that, this is a great airplane and fun to fly. Even though it is classified as a 'beginners' model, it performs as well as any model I have flown.I plan to build another someday.
