The first flight of the innovative 707 was in July 1954 and after extensive flight tests, the aircraft was certified as air-worthy the following year. The 707 evolved fromthe first design to longer, heavier aircraft with longer range and higher performance. TWA first flew the 707-331 in 1959. These were among the first of the 707 intercontinental aircraft with extended fuselage for greater passenger capacity and re-designed wings for longer range and better fuel efficiently. TWA operated the 707 until 1979. The Minicraft 1/144 scale 707 features new TWA markings, JT-4 engines and the early 707-320 intercontinental wing. Paint colors needed: Black, Aluminum, White, Dark Aluminum, and Light Gray.
