Bought this sport/pattern plane because I've progressed beyond RC aircraft trainers and am now flying aerobatic planes. From the photo this item looks to be a decent intermediate flyer but don't let this fool you. This is a cheaply-made foam plane with little attention to detail from a little known Chinese manufacturer Lanyu. Most of the parts of the plane did not fit, line up right or go together as designed. Seemed like everything needed major rework before its first flight.Nose cone won't stay secure, batteries do not fit well in the tiny compartment and the plane is extremely tail heavy out of the box. Had to add 3 oz. of lead weight in the nose to get the recommended CG balance point. Not good for a small parkflyer that's supposed to be "RTF." Cheap 27 mhz radio and receiver that accompany this model are (to me) absolutely worthless.Probably the worst part about the plane is the single aileron servo configuration. The control surfaces barely moved and would not stay in position even against the slightest finger pressure. Because of this I made major modifications and added two separate servos, one for each aileron, outboard on the wing.I did manage to get two decent flights out of it but the plane is weak. Takes offs are predictable and the plane tracks well in the sky. However, bringing it back down to earth was sketchy. The first landing was unexpectedly rough due to the no-name ESC (speed control) not giving any indication that the battery voltage had dropped low enough to cause power loss to the motor. Needless to say the plane came in with a nose down attitude and broke the flimsy orange prop.During the second flight I made sure to keep the flight time under 8 minutes so I could land with more available battery power. Made a slight miscalculation on the angle of approach and touched down a bit harder than I would've liked, wings level and wheels down mind you, and the landing gear ripped right out of the wings. Another big disappointment. It flies well for being a cheap foam job but the large amount of preparation and rework required, plus the high cost ~$150 and weak landing gear, make this "RTF" a worthless choice. Stay away from this one. I recommend buying name brand planes that are of much better quality and have spare parts readily available. By comparison, Megatech products are far superior than this one and most RC enthusiasts are not fond of this brand like I am.I guess you could retrofit it with a folding prop, dispense with the inferior landing gear and turn it into a belly lander, but even then it still wouldn't be worth it.
