Well, it's a super-sensitive semiconductor gyro that responds to pitch and yaw variations and sends correction signals to the heli's onboard controls to keep the flight rock-steady. Just think of it as a really, really tiny autopilot. Works great, and makes you into an expert pilot in no time at all. The Phantom Mini Phoenix charges from the controller (or a USB source) in about 20 minutes, and gives you nearly 8 minutes of pure flying pleasure.
